About Us

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) program at St. Elizabeth Healthcare has been a cornerstone of physician education since its inception in 1995. Over the years, the program has evolved significantly, with Holly Groneck, Physician Education and Communication Liaison, overseeing it since 2017. In 2018, a CME Committee comprised of Members of our Medical Staff are responsible for approving all educational activities and determining relevant topics for presentation.

CME activities are communicated electronically via the Medical Staff Weekly Checkup newsletter, displayed on video lounge boards in our Medical Staff Lounges, and highlighted in direct emails sent to the Medical Staff. Guided by our values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence, and inspired by the Catholic healthcare ministry, the CME program at St. Elizabeth aims to enhance community health by educating physicians and advanced practice providers. The program focuses on improving clinical competence, patient safety, and quality of care by promoting evidence-based practices, with effectiveness measured through patient health data and other performance indicators.
