AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (1.00 hours)

Updated education for Emergency Medicine physicians.

1. Review implications of maternal safety in the emergency department.
2. Review appropriate patient care processes for the prenatal and postpartum patient specific to the SEH Emergency Departments.
3. Understand risk factors related to preeclampsia and postpartum hemorrhage in the maternal patient presenting to the Emergency Department.
4. Review treatment options for the hypertensive and hemorrhagic postpartum patient that presents to the SEH Emergency Department.

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is accredited by The Kentucky Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
